Brandefense, the digital risk protection platform that safeguards the reputations of the world’s leading brands, received a $600,000 investment.

Providing digital risk protection services in the field of cybersecurity and intelligence to global brands, Brandefense completed its first investment round.

Focusing on the cybersecurity vertical to monitor digital risks and offering the possibility to prevent a cyber risk from forming—or shortly after it forms—for governments, companies, and executives, Brandefense received a $600,000 investment in an investment round led by TechOne VC, which also included Finberg.

By analyzing both the dark web and the open internet, it protects brand and reputation. Brandefense monitors the internet from every corner, analyzes the data it collects, and warns its users before risks materialize. Instead of learning about past incidents or potential data breaches from newspaper headlines, Brandefense’s users learn about them from Brandefense. Working in integration with security technologies, Brandefense provides real-time, continuous intelligence. It utilizes machine learning and analyst expertise at optimum levels to filter out false positives and aims to solve its customers’ time/effort challenges. In addition, as part of its attack surface analysis, Brandefenseoffers an automatic discovery of a company’s internet-exposed attack surface and evaluation of potential risks, while continuously monitoring hundreds of data sources as part of its threat intelligence to provide company-specific data breach intelligence. Within its integrated security interface, it prioritizes risks and enriches them with solution proposals.

“We aim to scale in the MENA region.”

With its new investment round, Brandefense primarily aims to reach financial, defense industry, manufacturing, and e-commerce companies located in the MENA region. Co-founder Caner Köroğlu stated, “We started providing services in the last quarter of 2019 and began monitoring over 130 brands on the dark web with Brandefense in 2021. As of now, we work with governments, critical institutions, and major companies in 4 different countries. Last year, our intelligence feeds helped clarify hundreds of cyber incidents. Additionally, in most of the high-profile cybersecurity events in Turkey, we have been the product that provides the most accurate information and solutions to our customers.”

Co-founder Hakan Eryavuz added that Brandefense ensures its customers stay one step ahead by monitoring cyber attackers all over the world. Continuing with his comments on innovative product targets, Eryavuz stated, “We will announce our new products soon, which will solve the daily problems of cybersecurity teams.” He mentioned that they have significantly grown their team and that the main goal for next year is to protect more global brands with innovative solutions.
